Beyond college counseling, during the spring and summer, I run my nonprofit Turiya in Panama, where I teach natural building methods from around the globe. I engineer and build structures of wood, bamboo, clay, and straw on my permaculture farm and am the sole employer in my isolated, Indigenous community.
